I grew up in a small town just south of Iowa City, so this has always been my home. I went to the University of Iowa and was a member of the rowing team. Unfortunately for me, I graduated the semester before we received Neumann Monson’s very beautifully designed boathouse. After I graduated, I moved to Austin, TX with only what could fit in my little car. I loved living in Austin but after 7 years of excessive heat, I wanted to move somewhere with seasons again. I landed in Salem, MA and only lasted there for a year and half before the draw of home and family won me back. And when I looked for a company that people enjoyed working for and a place that truly embodied the concept of team, I found that here at Neumann Monson! It’s fun to be a part of a group that’s about always pushing to raise the bar.
What do you do in your spare time?
I enjoy being with my family, especially my beautiful little nephew. I was away for the first two years of his life so I am enjoying playing catch up. I also enjoy training for various physical pursuits that I am somehow talked into but always enjoy.
What's an untapped passion you'd like to devote more time to?
I am just getting warmed up becoming reacquainted with all the wonderful things Iowa has to offer.
What excites you most about Neumann Monson?
I came in at the tail-end of the 40th anniversary year and I've been quite impressed with Neumann Monson's level of community outreach. Plus, gotta love that view over the ped mall!
