Hodge-Hieronymus Square

Having sat vacant for over thirty years, a prime corner of Iowa City’s western gateway is finally seeing a renaissance. The 7-story, 2-tower development will activate downtown’s primary arterial with housing, hotel, office, and retail.

The south tower hosts an extended stay hotel that emphasizes healthy and sustainable practices. With 94 rooms, the hotel will boost capacity for downtown events and long-term visitors. Natural wood accents around the main entry portal punctuate its smooth white aluminum cladding.

The north tower includes condominium units, class A office space, and pedestrian frontage retail. Its textured metal form responds to the UI Voxman School of Music across the street.

Nestled between the two towers, a shared exterior terrace provides amenities for residents and hotel guests. Provided parking will be underground, accessed through the adjacent existing Court Street Parking Ramp.
