The Iowa River Landing West parking ramp dually serves the IRL retail district and the UIHC medical office building. Dedicated retail parking is provided on the lower level, while the upper levels serve the clinic to the south. The structure is built into the site’s slope, minimizing the building mass. Materials used include brick veneered precast concrete, perforated metal “living screen” trellis panels with natural plantings. The glazed stairways are capped with vegetated roofs.
