University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics - Iowa River Landing

Designed and constructed to the highest standards of quality and performance, the facility is designed with cohesive landscaping and covered walkways to welcome visitors. The interior of the facility displays a clean and inviting healing environment. The ground floor accommodates pharmacy, radiology, pathology, UI QuickCare and a general reception/lobby area. Upper floors accommodate a variety of clinics and associated office space. 

The exterior material palette is composed of brick, cast stone and curtain wall. The building exterior was designed with attention to energy performance. The building achieves a thermal performance of R-30 at the roof, R-22 at walls, and incorporates high performance glazing. Curtain wall systems are designed to modulate direct sun penetration for enhanced daylighting. Translucent glazing and shading devices are used on all facades. The building has been designed with adaptability and flexibility in mind.
