I’ve always had a passion for writing and storytelling. Neumann Monson gives me the opportunity to explore these passions while experiencing the exciting world of architecture and design. Our mission and values guide my work.
I’m constantly inspired by our commitment to sustainability and our belief in architecture’s ability to make the world a better place. That optimistic spirit is the perfect tonic for my typically cynical disposition.
What drives you?
The big picture. I like knowing how my work fits into a larger project or goal.
What's your proudest achievement?
My furnace once broke in the dead of winter, and I fixed it just by watching a YouTube video. I’m also proud of my master’s degree.
What is your favorite place in Iowa?
My back porch. Early July. Twilight. Fireflies dancing to humming cicadas. “Is this Heaven? No, it’s Iowa.”
