There’s nothing quite as satisfying as seeing a building and knowing I was part of making it a reality.

I tried on many hats in college, but nothing seemed to stick. After a short hiatus, I went back to DMACC for their Architectural Technologies Program and never looked back.

I've always been drawn to making things and seeing the product of my workwhich is why architectural technology turned out to be a good fit. There's nothing quite as satisfying as seeing a building and knowing I was part of making it a reality.

What do you do in your spare time?

I play guitar in a band with a few friends and recently started playing in the pit band for the Iowa State Theatre Department. I also play disc golf and compete locally (though I'm still working on my skills).

What excites you about NM?

The diversity of our work. I get to dip my toes into many types of construction—an experience I haven't found elsewhere.

What's your favorite place in Iowa?

Walnut Ridge, a disc golf course in Des Moines. It's a scenic location and one of my first choices for when I want to get outside.
