UI Nonfiction Writing House Case Study
The University of Iowa Nonfiction Writing program is one of the top-ranked in the country. For decades, the three-year Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program has nurtured talent and helped graduates secure publishing opportunities.
In 2023, the Nonfiction Writing program welcomed students to its new home in Iowa City’s “writers’ neighborhood.” The new facility helps bolster the program’s campus presence while providing spaces for seminars, workshops, and community events.
To understand the project’s impact, we interviewed the program’s director, John D’Agata, and Neumann Monson’s Nick Lindsley. Watch the video to learn about the project’s background, spaces, and impact on the nonfiction writing community.
