I didn’t have an “aha” moment when I realized I wanted to be an architect — just a lifelong habit of rearranging spaces. Growing up in the tiniest bedroom (thanks to my older siblings), I spent hours dreaming up better layouts. One time, I convinced a teacher to let me rearrange our classroom, and it felt like winning the lottery. I’ve been chasing that same feeling ever since, exploring how thoughtful design can influence everyday spaces.
Now, when I design, I like to picture my parents in the space — finding their way, feeling at ease. It’s a simple reminder that architecture isn’t just about buildings, but about the people living, gathering, and being inside them. When a space feels like it truly belongs to someone, that’s when it comes to life.
At NM, you never know what the day will bring — bats in the ceiling, dogs on Zoom, or surprise snacks in the kitchen. It’s delightfully unpredictable, but the best part is sharing the surprises.
Clients bring the perspective that makes a design their own. When they share their lived experiences, values, and stories with us, the design becomes truly personal, contributing to a larger meaning.
I love how architecture can take an idea and turn it into something you can walk through, touch, and live in. It shapes how we move, connect, and feel — often without us even realizing it.
