The UIHC Iowa River Landing – Medical Office Building Extension Development project was conceptually designed as an expansion of the existing outpatient services in the Iowa River Landing district in Coralville, Iowa. The design was to provide approximately 180,000 gross square feet on about 2.3 acres with a covered patient drop-off. The facility was to house the Orthopedics Institute, Sports Medicine Center, physical therapy and rehab space, an imaging department, administrative offices, and academic research and seminar space. The facility was also designed to include an ambulatory surgery center with six operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and a 24-bed patient prep and recovery bay with ancillary and support services.
The program for this unbuilt project was expanded and realized as the UI Health Care North Liberty Campus.
