Neumann Monson Alum Alyanna Subayno Receives 2026 AIA Associates Award

We are proud to announce that a friend of the firm, Alyanna Subayno, is one of four individuals nationally to receive the 2026 AIA Associates Award recognizing her contributions to our community, Neumann Monson, and the architecture industry.

An important figure in the culture of our office and team, Alyanna was the driving force behind reinventing our new employee onboarding process in 2021—a key role in Neumann Monson’s recognition as an Emerging Professional Friendly Firm. Alyanna was also instrumental in the firm’s three successive Just Label renewals, and she contributed to several projects that continue to serve the Iowa City community, including the Iowa Conservatory and Shelter House.

Beyond her accomplishments at Neumann Monson, Alyanna was named a Rising Star of the AEC Industry by Zweig Group, serves on several of AIA’s national committees, and led analysis for AIA’s Guides for Equitable Practice and updates to the AIA Code of Ethics.

Alyanna now serves as a Designer at CannonDesign in Portland, OR. We congratulate her on the deserved recognition of her continued contributions to the architecture industry.
