Neumann Monson is proud to announce that three of our projects have been awarded with Central States Region Design Awards. Focused on work from Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, the awards recognize the “highest quality design, informed by the AIA Framework for Design Excellence, [progressing] toward a zero-carbon, healthy, just, resilient, and equitable built environment.”

ICON Arts Academy won a merit award in the Preservation/Adaptive Reuse category. The project renovated a historic building which now houses a prestigious performing arts high school. The concept addressed the structural limitations of the existing building while organizing the spaces to facilitate a place where artists can learn and grow.

Pella Middle & Jefferson Intermediate won a merit award in the Architecture category. The project bridged the intermediate and middle school learning spaces by giving a dedicated home to the 6th grade class. It includes ten general education classrooms serving approximately 200 students, along with housing the school’s band program.

Pella Little Dutch Academy won an honor award in the Architecture category. The facility served a need for early childhood care in the area, and it is now owned and operated by the public school district, making it easier for families to choose the area for long-term education. The spaces are designed to encourage discovery for young students, and safety for their loved-ones’ peace of mind.

As always, we appreciate the opportunity to showcase some of our team’s hard work and dedication to quality design.
