Kevin Monson, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Neumann Monson Architects, has been honored by Iowa State University’s (ISU) College of Design with the Christian Petersen Design Award.

For the second year running, team members from our Iowa City studio participated in Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa’s Career Inspire event in Cedar Rapids.

Congratulations to NM’ers Alyanna Subayno (and team) for placing 1st and Danny Cryer for placing 3rd in the AIA Iowa Emerging Professionals (EP) Competition! The EP Competition provides an opportunity for young professionals to share and receive exposure for a side project. Submissions may include built or unbuilt projects, design sketches, renderings, models, photography, painting, and video.

We’re excited to announce that two projects designed by Neumann Monson have received an AIA Iowa Excellence in Design Awards and two Excellence in Craft Awards!

Beginning in mid-March, a large portion of our studio began working remotely. The shift has gone remarkably well, with just enough video gaffes and frozen screens to keep us humble. Though we miss stopping by each other’s desks and meeting up in the crit space, there’s something comforting about having everyone just one call away.
